Dj Prisss is a Brighton-based DJ, live electronic music curator, and audio systems designer whose deep technical expertise and decades-long passion for sound set her apart in the underground electronic scene.
A lifelong music obsessive, Prisss began building and restoring vinyl playback systems as a child and went on to design and manufacture high-end audio equipment, including vacuum tube amplifiers, horn-loaded loudspeakers, and innovative vinyl replay systems. She developed phono cartridges for Audio Note and created experimental tonearm designs, including the spring-based “Delta-I” for Audio Innovations.
Since 2013, performing as Prisss, she has released over 60 live, minimally edited DJ mixes exploring techno, deep house, chill-out, experimental grooves, and beyond — on Mixcloud and Hearthis.at.
Since its founding in 2013, Prisss has been a driving force behind beep (Brighton Experimental Electronic Performers), helping grow the collective to over 2,200 members and curating regular monthly live electronic gigs.
